Brady sets 1st-half TD record, ties single-game mark

BY NICK ST. DENIS

There's this guy named Tom Brady. Dude's pretty good.

Brady set an NFL playoff record Saturday night with five passing touchdowns in the first half of the Patriots' AFC Divisional Round bout with the Broncos. He shared three of those scores with tight end Rob Gronkowski, whom tied an NFL record with his trifecta.

Brady ammassed 246 yards in the half, while Tim Tebow completed just three passes. The Patriots led, 35-7, at halftime.

New England went on to win, 45-10. Brady tossed a sixth touchdown in the second half, tying an NFL postseason single-game record.
