Bills get 5th-rounder, not 6th, for 2010 Lynch trade

BY NICK ST. DENIS

It's probably not that important, but whatever. Slow news week.

Wednesday, BuffaloBills.com reported that the NFL confirmed the Bills will receive a fifth-round pick in the upcoming draft for trading Marshawn Lynch to the Seahawks prior to the 2010 season.

Lynch was dealt for a fourth-rounder in 2011 and a sixth-rounder in 2012, with the latter having the chance to improve to a fifth-rounder if Lynch got a certain amount of playing time. Lynch apparently reached the mark.

Buffalo will also get an additional fourth-rounder in dealing Lee Evans to the Ravens prior to last season.

The Bills currently have nine picks in the 2012 draft and could be awarded a compensatory pick, as well.
