Week 10 AFC East game picks: Jets at Seahawks

Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the New York Jets' inter-conference road battle with the Seattle Seahawks.

Nick's take:
In Seattle, the 12th man isn't a cliché. It's a fact. The Jets travel to the top-left corner of the country to take on a Seahawks team that is 4-0 at home. Seattle rookie quarterback Russell Wilson plays like a first-year signal-caller on the road, but he's anything but at CenturyLink Field, where he has yet to throw an interception and has amassed nine touchdowns. Antonio Cromartie will grab Wilson's first Seattle-based pick, but it won't be enough.
Prediction: Seahawks 17, Jets 14

Sean's take:
The Jets are nothing if not optimistic when it comes to their playoff chances this season. After getting two weeks to think about it's trouncing at the hands of the Dolphins, New York kicks off the second half of their year with one of the league's toughest road challenges. The ravenous Seahawks defense suffocates the plodding Jets offense, and Seattle deals a fatal blow to New York's postseason aspirations.
Prediction: Seahawks 20, Jets 9

Dan's take:
New York has lost four of its last five games and is in dire need of a turnaround. Seattle, however, isn't greatest place to look for one. The Seahawks have been unstoppable at home, and running back Marshawn Lynch will be looking for his sixth 100-yard game against an unusually-weak Jets' rush defense. Expect a better effort out of New York's defense this week, but don't expect a turnaround on offense, as a turnover-crazed Mark Sanchez struggles against the league's fourth-ranked defense.
Prediction: Seahawks 17, Jets 13
