Agent: Winston 'really' wants to play for Dolphins

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The Miami Dolphins could really use an offensive tackle, and Eric Winston could really use a team.

Winston, most recently of the Kansas City Chiefs and formerly of the Houston Texans, remains on the free market as fellow free agents at his position are slowly finding suitors.

“Eric would really like to play for the Miami Dolphins,” Rosenhaus told WSVN Channel 7, via Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.

Volin lists a handful of reasons Winston would, in fact, be a perfect fit for the tackle-starved Dolphins, noting Winston's familiarity with the area and the zone-blocking scheme, as well as his brother being a scout for the team and his relationship with offensive coordinator Mike Sherman.

“It’s a fluid situation,” Rosenhaus said. “I can’t really get into a lot of the details as far as the Dolphins. I don’t want to speak for them.”
