Bills bringing back veteran linebacker Bryan Scott

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Bryan Scott was excited, so he broke the news himself.

The veteran linebacker tweeted Wednesday that he re-signed with the Buffalo Bills, posting a picture of the contract for proof. Scott, 31, had one of the best season's of his 10-year career in 2012. (photo: Doug Kerr, Flickr)

Scott grabbed a career-high four interceptions with eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, as well as a touchdown. He didn't tally a sack but was in on 66 tackles.

"Signing on for year 11 in the NFL!" Scott wrote Monday. "What a blessing!"

Scott was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2003, where he spent three years before a one-season stint with the New Orleans Saints. He signed on with the Bills in 2007 after not making it out of the preseason with the Tennessee Titans.

Buffalo brought him back in 2008. Scott was named the Bills' Walter Payton Man of the Year last December.
