Jets address both fronts by signing Colon, Garay

The New York Jets have flown under the radar so far in free agency, but they've filled a few important voids in the process.

New York was in the market for an offensive frontman to work on the interior, as right guard Brandon Moore is a likely goner and left guard Matt Slauson has yet to be re-signed.

As for the defense, the Jets parted ways with interior linemen Sione Po'uha and Mike Devito on the first day of free agency and needed a body to work with Kenrick Ellis, who is expected to step up into a semi-starting role between defensive ends Muhammad Wilkerson and Quinton Coples.

Pro Football Focus rated Colon as the Steelers' best run blocker and second best pass blocker in 2012, though he was penalized 12 times.

Despite tallying just one sack, PFF had Garay as the team's third-best producer on the pass rush.
