Patrick Chung finds home in Eagles' secondary

BY SEAN DONOVAN

The New England Patriots have been relatively quiet on the first day of free agency, but some of their former players are making moves.

According to WEEI.com's Christopher Price, safety Patrick Chung has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. (photo: Beth Hart, Flickr)

New England made Chung their second round pick in 2009, but the former Oregon Duck struggled to stay on the field during his four year career, and rarely made an impact when he did play.

Chung recorded seven interceptions and three sacks in his 29 games with the team.

The defensive back-starved Patriots were expected to find secondary help this offseason, but will now need to follow that up with more depth as well.

Chung will be reunited with his college head coach Chip Kelly, who is in his first year holding the same title for the Eagles.
