Shocker Alert: Bills to work out QB Ryan Nassib

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The Buffalo Bills have been on a quarterback workout spree. So it's only fitting that they work out the guy who makes the most sense.

After getting a closer look at every other top quarterback prospect over the past two weeks, Buffalo will see what former Syracuse Orange signal-caller Ryan Nassib has to offer, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550.

Big surprise. (photo: goddam, Flickr)

Nassib's private workout will happen in front of familiar company, as his former head coach, Doug Marrone, is now the Bills' head coach, and his former offensive coordinator, Nathanial Hackett, is now the Bills' offensive coordinator.

Buffalo signed free agent quarterback Kevin Kolb Saturday, which pretty much knocked Tarvaris Jackson out of the No. 1 QB spot on the depth chart.

It also lessened the Bills' urgency to reach for a quarterback in the first round. Coincidence -- Nassib is a likely second-rounder.

The Bills have already held private workouts with West Virginia's Geno Smith, Florida State's E.J. Manuel, Oklahoma's Landry Jones and USC's Matt Barkley. Tennessee's Tyler Bray will reportedly be added to that list.
