Eagles DB felt 'bullied' by Patriots at practice

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Tom Brady was slinging it all over the yard Tuesday during the New England Patriots' joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Little did he know, it was a schoolyard. And he was being a meanie.

After the Patriots' passing offense reportedly put on a clinic against the Eagles' defense, Eagles defensive back Brandon Boykin said his team felt the Patriots were abusing their power a bit.

“I can speak for the whole team. I felt like [on Tuesday], honestly they came out with this attitude to try to bully us,” Boykin said, via Christopher Price of WEEI.

The Eagles and Patriots are spending the week leading up to their respective preseason openers Friday practicing on the same field. If the Patriots didn't hold back in practice, Boykin certainly shouldn't expect them to hold back come gametime.

Brady is working with an entirely new pass-catching corps and is trying to get a pair of rookies in Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce on the same page while developing go-to chemistry with his new No. 1 wideout Danny Amendola. He can't do that by playing nice to the defenders he goes up against in practice.
