Injury report: Only E.J., Ellerbe likely to sit out

BY DAN BEGNOCHE

While the continued absence of quarterback E.J. Manuel is nothing to sneeze at, the Buffalo Bills' roster seems to finally be turning the corner and getting healthy after an injury-plagued start. The same can be said for the Miami Dolphins.

Manuel is the only sure inactive for the teams' Sunday afternoon bout, and Dolphins linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is the Dolphins' worst-case, listed as doubtful.

For Buffalo, it'll be the first time all season that the secondary has been active all at once, as Ron Brooks is returning a week after safety Jairus Byrd and cornerback Stephon Gilmore made their respective 2013 debuts.

For Miami, the secondary help comes in the form of Dimitri Patterson, who, like Brooks, has been out since Week 1. The extra hand can hopefully aid a squad that's giving up more than 285 yards per game through the air.

Ellerbe's loss will certainly be felt, particularly with running back C.J. Spiller slated to play. The 27-year-old linebacker leads the Dolphins in tackles and has recorded two of the team's three fumble recoveries.

Here's the full slate of injuries:
