Wallace: Dolphins need urgency but not panic

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The Miami Dolphins were one of the hottest teams in the NFL coming out of the gate, winning their first three games heading into a Week 4 primetime showing.

They've cooled off since, losing their last two games headed into their bye.

“You’ve just got to stay focused,” Dolphins receiver Wallace said, via the team's website. “You can’t get caught up in the, ‘You lost two, so panic.’ Just stay relaxed, stay calm but we have to have a sense of urgency, too."

The AFC East came together a bit in Week 5 with the first place New England Patriots also losing and the New York Jets winning.

When Miami gets back from its break, it will have an opportunity to cut back into the division. The Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills Week 7 before traveling to Foxborough seven days later to face the Patriots.

Wallace sounded like a guy whose team's bye came at a good time.

"You have to continue to play, keep working hard and I feel like our team works hard every single day," he said. "Everybody out here gives great effort so I think we’ve got to do a better job of transferring it from the practice field to the game."
