Willie Colon tired of the 'damn' playoff question

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Despite an embarrassing display of football Sunday, the New York Jets are still in control of their playoff destiny, as they'd be the sixth and final Wildcard team if the season ended today.

But the season doesn't end today.

"I'm tired of answering that damn question,'' Jets guard Willie Colon said after the Jets' demoralizing 37-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, via Newsday. "I don't want to be asked that no more. We're not going to be a playoff team until they say we're in the playoffs.

"Right now, we just lost to the [explitive] Buffalo Bills. So I'm tired of answering that question. So please don't ask me that.''

The Jets (5-5) put up the monumental stinker coming off a bye week, dropping Gang Green's post-break record to 1-4 under coach Rex Ryan.

New York now heads to Baltimore to face Ryan's old team and Colon's old rival in the Ravens (4-6), who are also trying to rally for a Wildcard spot. Gang Green then hosts a pair of 4-6 AFC playoff hopefuls in the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders.

"You can look at it as the glass is half full or half empty," Jets quarterback Geno Smith said, via NewYorkJets.com. "But we're in a situation where we can go to the playoffs. These last six games are going to be crucial."
