Leftovers: Pats add 'backer, Dolphins bring in punter

BY SCOTT BAINES

Continuing the process of filling up rosters to the 90-man limit, the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins filled out a little paperwork this week, adding depth to their respective rosters as voluntary workouts commenced.

Thursday the Patriots signed linebacker Josh Hull to a one-year deal.

Hull is coming of a personal-best 14 tackles last season with the Washington Redskins after seeing rare defensive playing time in the first three seasons of his career with the St. Louis Rams.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins are breaking in kicker Matt Szymanski, who signed with Miami earlier this week to a one-year contract. Szymanski, a former undrafted college free agent, joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012 but only got as far as their practice squad.
