Whaley: Bills 'disappointed' with Dareus arrest

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was picked up by Alabama police Tuesday night on felony synthetic marijuana charges.

Wednesday, Bills general manager Doug Whaley briefly addressed the issue.

"We are, obviously, disappointed with this latest development involving Marcell Dareus," Whaley said in a statement through the team. "We will be in contact with the league regarding the situation and continue to offer support and assistance to Marcell."

Dareus, is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract and just a dozen days removed from having his fifth-year option picked up by Buffalo. He's coming off his first Pro Bowl season in which he tallied 7.5 sacks and 71 tackles.
