The Miami Dolphins announced Monday they have signed tight end Brett Brackett and waived wide receiver Stephen Williams.
The 6-5, 246-pound Brackett re-joins the Dolphins after being waived by the team at the end of July. Prior to his recent stint with Miami, Brackett spent part of the 2013 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He was placed on injured reserve prior to the start of the 2012 season with Jacksonville on September 4.
Brackett originally entered the NFL in 2011 as an undrafted free agent with the Dolphins. He spent parts of the 2011 season on the practice squads of Miami, Jacksonville and the Philadelphia Eagles.
A four-year letterman at Penn State, Brackett played in 52 games with 15 starts and totaled 56 receptions for 714 yards and seven touchdowns.
