Boyd, Devlin participate in tryout with Giants

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins reserve quarterbacks Tajh Boyd and Pat Devlin weren't going to get a chance to face off in any AFC East battles--but it looks like they've found a battle elsewhere.

The pair of signal-callers were part of an eight-player tryout with the New York Giants Saturday, according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com.

Boyd was released by the Jets at the end of the summer after spending the spring and most of training camp with Gang Green, who drafted the Clemson product in the sixth round this year.

Devlin spend much of the last three and a half years with the Miami Dolphins after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011, but the Delaware alum was sent packing this summer.

Boyd also reportedly worked out for the Buffalo Bills Tuesday.
