Dallas Thomas slated for fourth start on interior

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Saturday, the Miami Dolphins updated guard Daryn Colledge's status from doubtful to out.

With that, second-year third-round rookie Dallas Thomas is slated for his fourth start of the season, when the Dolphins travel to the Detroit Lions Sunday.

Thomas, the team's top reserve lineman, started in place of Colledge last week against the San Diego Chargers.

The Tennessee product surrendered four hurries and one hit on Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill in that game, according to ProFootballFocus. He has given up nine quarterback hurries, two QB hits and no sacks this season, though the team has run the ball well in his presence.

Thomas started two other games at right guard.

Meanwhile, ailing running back Lamar Miller made the trip to Detroit, and despite his questionable status with a shoulder injury, will reportedly be available on a limited basis.
