Jackson to Watkins: Trust the training room

BY EDITOR

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins isn't quite sure how to feel about the current status of his groin ailment, which may sideline him Sunday when the Bills host the Kansas City Chiefs.

Watkins, however, has a mentor in veteran running back Fred Jackson.

“It’s one of those things where I told him to see those guys in that training room,” Jackson said, via BuffaloBills.com. “They’re going to do everything they can to get you ready. Take everything they give you because they’re the ones who are going to get you back out there sooner rather than later.”

Watkins aggravated the groin in practice Wednesday and hasn't taken the field since. He, like Jackson, is listed as questionable with a groin injury.

Jackson, however, has been out since Week 7 with a much more severe case than Watkins, though he did practice three straight days on a limited basis. Coach Doug Marrone didn't sound optimistic about Jackson's prospects, though Jackson is holding out hope.
