Reserve signings: Jets add a CB, Dolphins a TE

The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets each announced the signing of a reserve player Tuesday. Miami brought in tight end Ryan Taylor, while Gang Green inked cornerback Curtis Brown.

The 6-3, 254-pound Taylor joins the Dolphins after being let go by the Cleveland Browns at the end of December. He also spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers during the 2014 season.

Taylor, a North Carolina product, was originally drafted by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft and spent his first four seasons there. He has appeared in 58 games with two starts and has recorded eight receptions for 45 yards and one touchdown.

Brown, meanwhile, entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011. The 6-0, 185-pounder played in 34 games in his three seasons with the Steelers. He tallied 39 tackles on special teams before tearing his left ACL in November 2013. He was released in March 2014.
