Terrell Williams to take over as D-line coach for 'Phins

Miami defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers bailed for the open coordinator position with the Jets once the season ended. Thursday, the team brought in former Raiders coach Terrell Williams to replace him, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Williams held the line coach position with Oakland for three years before his move to the Dolphins, with a slight stopover at the University of Florida in between pro positions.

Minus the pass-rushing abilities of Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon, Miami's line was pretty pedestrian in 2014, particularly toward the end of the season. They were 24th in the league against the run, allowing more than 120 yards per game and 13 total rushing touchdowns.

Williams has his work cut out for him next season, with some rebuilding in the middle likely in the cards.
