Buffalo ready to make offensive line help a priority

Now that Buffalo has shored up its defensive line for one more year, it seems the focus will shift to the other side of the ball.

From 2013-14, Buffalo went from second in the league in rushing to 25th. The offensive line, which was middle of the road at best, was a big part of those struggles, and Doug Whaley is ready to make changes to get things back on track.

"Rex’s philosophy is to build from the inside out so we’ve got that on the defensive line," Whaley said Monday following the re-signing of defensive lineman Jerry Hughes. "Now, we’ve got some stuff that we’re going to do on the offensive line to make this a competitive team."

According to Ross Jones of Fox Sports, that "stuff" could include lineman Mike Iupati or Brian Bulaga, two potential options for the team. Another body on the line will likely be on the docket come draft day as well, though the team's first pick won't come until the second round.
