Patriots' addition of Chandler twofold in a way

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Or, make him join you. Or something. Never mind.

Anyway, the New England Patriots added former Buffalo Bills tight end Scott Chandler this week, which is both an addition by addition and an addition by (opponent's) subtraction.

Writes Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston:
"In the past four seasons against the Patriots, the tall, rangy tight end has 28 receptions for 384 yards, four touchdowns and 21 first downs. Specifically, his ability to threaten the New England defense down the seam has been an issue."
