Dolphins giving Minnesota safety Thompson a look


Free safety is a position the Miami Dolphins could use some depth at, and they may attack the position in the draft.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, Miami is taking a closer look at Minnesota safety Cedric Thompson this week.
"Thompson, a three-year starter for the Gophers, finished his senior season second on the team in tackles (83) and added four pass breakups and two interceptions," writes Omar Kelly. "He is viewed as a draft prospect that will likely be selected in the later rounds."
Thompson, according to Kelly, has already had a handful of private workouts.
