Struggling Sturgis to miss rest of OTAs with injury

Miami Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis hasn't had the greatest of starts to his pro career.

Now, an upper leg bruise is standing in the way of his chance for redemption.

The 25-year-old is slated to miss the remainder of OTAs with a thigh contusion, according to coach Joe Philbin, who told reporters Monday that they'll "see how things go."

The third-year leg has had accuracy issues since his fifth-round selection in 2013, particularly from mid-range. He's missed 30 percent of his tries from 40 to 49 yards the past two seasons, and he's only a little better than 50 percent from outside 50 yards.
