Welker never compared Manning's balls to Brady's

Rest easy, Tom. Your balls aren't noticeably different than Peyton's--at least according to someone who has touched them a lot.

So anyway.

During an interview with WEEI Tuesday, free agent wide receiver Wes Welker was asked if he noticed the difference between Peyton Manning's footballs and Tom Brady's footballs, given what we know about DeflateGate, Brady, etc.

"I wasn’t comparing the two. Any ball you catch or run with, you don’t really pay attention to a PSI on a ball," he said. "… I don’t think he was [any more concerned with the measure of the balls than Tom Brady].

"I didn’t really pay attention to both of them. I knew Tom was particular about his balls. I think every quarterback is, but I never really paid attention to Peyton and how he lives with them."
