The Miami Dolphins are moving on from quarterback Josh Freeman, the team announced Friday.
Freeman originally signed with the Dolphins at the beginning of April as a free agent and was essentially Ryan Tannehill's backup's (Matt Moore) backup.
Unless it make another move for a reserve signal-caller, Miami is set to enter training camp with three QBs. McLeod Bethel-Thompson is the third.
Freeman joined Miami after spending five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as short stints with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. He was a first-round pick in the 2009 NFL draft.
