Jets move Vickerson from PUP to active roster


Kevin Vickerson is moving on up.

The New York Jets activated the eight-year defensive lineman Monday. Vickerson started training camp on the Active/PUP list with a hamstring ailment.

Vickerson, who stands at 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, has played in 86 games with 44 starts. He's played for the Tennessee Titans, Denver Broncos, and most recently, the Kansas City Chiefs. The majority of his starts came in Denver, where he played both defensive end and defensive tackle.

The Michigan State alum has amassed 6.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, one interception and 165 tackles, including 17.5 for loss.
