Roman on ever-injured offense: 'I think we're behind'

Getting the Buffalo Bills offense into a rhythm this season has been quite a struggle, particularly given the injuries it's sustained.

Nobody knows that better than offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

While the team's first-year play caller has been pleased with his squad's progress thus far, the quality -- given the time the starters have had to practice together -- just hasn't been where he'd like it to be.

“I think everything with us is a bit of work in progress," Roman said via buffalobills.com. "Guys in and out of the lineup. This guy’s in, this guy’s out. He missed training camp, etc. It’s been…I think we’re behind."

Things have looked up this week, however, as Roman has gotten back quarterback Tyrod Taylor, receiver Sammy Watkins, running back Karlos Williams and tackle Seantrel Henderson, with only Watkins a question mark Sunday against the Dolphins.
