'Huge turnaround' lands Maccagnan PFWA honors


We'll say one thing -- he's no Woody Johnson.

After one year at the helm and some major moves that yielded a 10-win season and a near playoff berth, New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan was named Executive of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America Thursday.

Per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, Maccagnan became the first Jets member to be awarded the honor, which started in 1993.
