Bills bring in safety help, ink deal with Blanton

A quick visit is all it took for the Buffalo Bills to solidify some depth at safety, as the team agreed to terms with 26-year-old Robert Blanton Friday.

Blanton, a fifth-year pro, is a former fifth-round draft pick and has spent his entire pro career with the Minnesota Vikings, mainly as a backup.

He tallied 147 tackles and an interception in his time there.

As noted by Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com:

“Blanton (6-1, 200) will provide depth behind incumbent starters Corey Graham and Aaron Williams in the secondary.”
