Dolphins address pre-draft housecleaning, release five


With only a few hours to go before the 2016 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins tidied their roster Thursday, releasing five players and knocking their roster number down to 73.

Per the team's website, Damaar Aultman, Tyler Davis, Robert Herron and Terrell Manning — all on reserve/futures contracts signed back in early January — were released. Also let go was linebacker Robert Thomas II, who ended last season on IR after playing one game (Week 13) against the Baltimore Ravens.

Aultman, Herron and Manning each spent time on the Dolphins practice squad in 2015.
