Jets bring in linebacker Bruce Carter

The New York Jets signed free agent linebacker Bruce Carter, a former second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys.

Carter, at 6 foot 2, 240 pounds, played 14 games for Tampa Bay last season, starting three of the last four at middle linebacker.
