Patriots secure RB depth, bring back Blount


After adding some flash to the offensive side of the ball his offseason, the Patriots finally secured some brawn Tuesday.

The team re-signed veteran running LeGarrette Blount to a one-year deal, according to WEEI.com, balancing out their backfield with some between-the-tackles artillery.

With a fair share of its corps sidelined last season, Blount managed to accumulate the most rushing attempts and rushing yards for the Patriots in 2015 before going down with a hip injury.

In 33 career games with New England, the 29-year-old has averaged 4.7 yards per carry and tallied 16 touchdowns.
