With Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie manning the perimeter, the New York Jets' secondary is one of the best lockdown groups in the game.
The addition of free agent safety LaRon Landry added a little punch to go with the finesse.
The Jets will need its defensive backfield to be on its game this week, as it's slated to face one of the best quarterbacks at keeping plays alive in Ben Roethlisberger coupled with a highly-skilled receiver corps.
Revis and Cro will do their usual thing, but having the big-hit threat in Landry at centerfield could be a difference-maker.
"I think they're a strong group," Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told the New York media Wednesday via conference call, according to the team's website. "I think specifically [LaRon] Landry brings an awesome demeanor to a defense, a guy that plays the ball the way he plays, relentlessly, a guy who plays hard and is very physical and aggressive."
