BY SEAN DONOVAN

Dolphins linebacker Koa Misi has been arrested on a charge of battery with serious injury, according to the Broward County, FL sheriff's office.

An arrest warrant was issued in California, and Misi was arrested in his home in Weston, FL.

"We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering information," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said in a statement, according to CBSSports.com. "As a result, we will refrain from any comment."

Misi is entering his third year after being a second round draft pick for the Dolphins. He played college ball at Utah.

His production has been a dissapointment, but there were reports that new defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle was planning to try out Misi in different roles. He was drafted to be a pass-rushing outside linebacker but has accruced only 5.5 sacks in 28 games.
