Longtime Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell won't be returning to Miami -- at least as a Dolphin.
Bell's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Sunday the Jets, in addition to the Patriots, are among a few teams interested in the 34-year-old free agent, according to multiple media outlets.
New York is likely looking at Bell in the mold of a backup, as it recently signed former Redskins strong safety LaRon Landry. As for the Patriots, Bell could possibly see a more important role in a New England pass defense that ranked second to last in the league a season ago.
Bell led the Dolphins in tackles over the past four seasons.
