Gibson hauled in 174 receptions for 2,090 yards and nine touchdowns in four seasons with St. Louis.
The Jets reportedly are working on a restructured contract with receiver Santonio Holmes, and young receivers Jeremy Kerley and Stephen Hill are also under contract entering 2013.
