Former NFL wide receiver Cris Carter will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next month. Meanwhile, his nephew will being trying to make the Miami Dolphins' roster.
The Dolphins announced they signed Carter's relative, wide receiver Kenny Stafford, Thursday.
Stafford went undrafted out of Toledo last year before signing with the Atlanta Falcons. He didn't make it through the entirety of training camp and failed to land anywhere else in 2012.
The 6-foot-2, 204-pound wideout hauled in 59 balls for 935 yards and eight touchdowns during his career at Toledo before spending stints in Pittsburgh and Montreal with the AFL's Power and CFL's Alouettes, respectively.
