Injury Report: Gronk likely out, Amendola in

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Rob Gronkowski wasn't expected to appear in uniform Week 1 of the 2013 season, and he's likely to meet expectations.

The All-World tight end has been ruled doubtful for the New England Patriots' Sunday divisional bout with the Buffalo Bills, according to the NFL's official injury report Friday. Gronkowski is still trying to ease back into action after undergoing a back surgery earlier this year that followed four surgeries on his arm.

There is good news, however, regarding another one of quarterback Tom Brady's pass-catchers. At least good news for New England.

New Patriot Danny Amendola, who is expected to be Brady's top wide receiver target this year, is probable with a groin ailment. Amendola participated fully in practice Friday.

Running back Brandon Bolden (knee), receiver Aaron Dobson (hamstring), defensive back Nate Ebner (ankle) and defensive back Duron Harmon (hamstring) are all listed as questionable, while offensive lineman Will Svitek has been ruled out.
