Brady's injury report appearance par for course

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Tom Brady used to be on the injury report every single week. Then, when he finally wasn't, he actually got hurt.

Brady had a three-year injury report streak going before having the designation removed prior to Week 1 of the 2008 season. It was that week when he suffered a season-ending knee ailment.

Since then, he's been on and off the weekly tab. This week, he's on it.

Brady was listed as as "limited" in practice Thursday due to his right shoulder. He'll likely end up on the final Friday report as a "probable," marking the billionth time we've seen him enter a game under those terms.

The only surprising aspect of it is that it's taken until Week 8 to happen.

The future Hall-of-Famer is likely just undergoing standard maintenance of a veteran quarterback in mid-season, having his workload in practice monitored while getting touched up by the trainers.

"I'm like everybody, there's just bumps and bruises that happen over the course of the football season," Brady told WEEI Monday.
