Injury report: Pouncey not yet ready for return

For the second straight week, the Miami Dolphins will likely be without the anchor of their offensive line.

Center Mike Pouncey, who missed last week's game to illness, is doubtful to return to action Sunday when his team hosts the Carolina Panthers. He'll again be spelled by Nate Garner, who was serviceable in Miami's win over the San Diego Chargers.

Cornerback Dimitri Patterson is also unlikely to find his way back on the gameday roster this week as he nurses a groin injury, though he probably has a better chance at a return than Pouncey, which isn't saying much.

Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson, who leads his team in sacks, won't suit up against Miami, though the defender who lines up opposite Johnson -- Greg Hardy -- will more than likely be a go despite a knee ailment.
