Brackett, Binns among waives as Dolphins cut to 75

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The Miami Dolphins got their roster down to the league-mandated 75 Tuesday, setting three aside and sending away eight others.

Defensive tackle A.J. Francis, running back Mike Gillislee and tight end Arthur Lynch were placed on the reserve/injured list.

Meanwhile tight end Brett Brackett, cornerback Steven Clarke, defensive end Rakim Cox, defensive tackle Cory Grissom, center Tyler Larsen and wide receivers Armon Binns and Ryan Spadola were waived.

The Dolphins also terminated the contract of Brady Quinn.

With Michael Agnew gone, Brackett was challenging for a spot, and Binns also showed some promise of late. So despite Quinn being the biggest name departing, those two are probably the most newsworthy.
