Moreno comfortable with playbook, felt good on field

BY EDITOR

The Miami Dolphins activated Knowshon Moreno off the PUP list Wednesday, and the veteran tailback saw his first action on the practice field since a knee scope nearly two months ago.

“It feels good to put the pads on and work with the guys,” Moreno said, via MiamiDolphins.com. “Today was testing it out and seeing how it feels. [It] feel good.

"What I did today I felt pretty good doing it. Now the next couple of days I'll just progress and do more and more each day.”

Moreno, who won't be challenging Lamar Miller for the No. 1 gig but should be a regular in short-yardage and pass-protection situations this year, has been taking the "mental reps" necessary to hit the ground running.

“I’m good with the playbook," he said. "It’s just going out there seeing it full speed versus the defense. But I feel pretty comfortable about the playbook."
