Orton full of TDs, Jets full of turnovers in Bills' win

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton found the end zone a lot Sunday, while the New York Jets' turnover-prone QB tandem found the Bills a lot.

Orton threw four touchdown passes as the Bills beat down the reeling Jets, who were treated to six turnovers--three from Geno Smith and three more from Michael Vick--from their top two signal-callers.

The Bills won, 43-23, improving to 5-3 and handing the Jets (1-7) their seventh consecutive loss.

Orton finished the game 10 of 17 for 238 yards, tossing touchdown passes to Robert Woods, Lee Smith, Scott Chandler and Sammy Watkins. Watkins had three catches for 157 yards and a long touchdown.

Smith, meanwhile, was benched for Vick early in the first half after throwing interceptions on three straight series'. Vick went on to throw a pick of his own and fumbled four times, losing two of them.

Smith finished 2 of 8 for 5 yards and the three picks. Vick led the Jets on a 13-play, 76-yard scoring drive to bring the Jets within a score early, and New York hung in the game for two and a half quarters despite giving Buffalo stellar field position on a string of drives throughout that time.

Vick finished 18 of 36 for 153 yards.

Stephon Gilmore, Preston Brown, Aaron Williams and Da'Norris Searcy had interceptions for the Bills.

Recently acquired Jet Percy Harvin caught three passes for 22 yards and had 28 yards rushing on four carries in his debut with his new team. Jets running back Chris Ivory scored twice on the ground, and fellow Jet Bilal Powell added a rushing touchdown of his own. Bills fullback Frank Summers found the end zone.
