After a slight delay, it finally happened. Chan Gailey is the New York Jets' new offensive coordinator.
The official announcement came Tuesday, a day or so after reports surfaced that Gailey's pending marriage with the team was being held up by negotiations and may in fact not happen.
The former Buffalo Bills coach Gailey was a main target for new Jets coach Todd Bowles, who replaced the Bills' new coach (Rex Ryan), who replaced the coach who replaced Gailey (Doug Marrone), who almost became the Jets' new coach. Got all that?
