Schwartz respects Rex but knows two weren't a fit

The second the Buffalo Bills named Rex Ryan their new head coach, the team's then-defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz was on his way out--even if the move wasn't official for a few days.

It was a scheme issue, and the coaches' respective personalities probably had a little to do with it, as well. Nothing personal. Schwartz acknowledged that recently in an interview with The Baltimore Sun.

"I've known Rex for a long time," Schwartz said. "I have a lot of respect for him as a person, and for what he has done and his schemes. But like there are certain players who fit in with other players, the same is true with coaches."
