RPT: Harvin unlikely to restructure deal with Jets

How much is Percy Harvin worth to the New York Jets? Not anything less than he was last year--at least that's apparently the attitude within the all-purpose player's camp.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported Monday that he'd be "shocked" if Harvin agreed to a reduced deal with Gang Green.

Harvin is due more than $10 million this coming season, and the Jets are likely to approach him about a pay cut. Should he decline, he may very well hit the market, though New York would prefer to keep their most explosive player.

La Canfora also reported the Patriots would have an eye on Harvin, and that C.J. Spiller's name has been regularly linked to the Jets amidst chatter at the combine. We're a bit skeptical about the former point given New England's surplus of talent and tendency to shy from unnecessary spending, though Spiller to the Jets is a strong possibility with Chan Gailey leading New York's offense.
