Spiller 'not going to stress' over offseason negotiations

After five seasons in the NFL, C.J. Spiller is two weeks away from being on the open market.

While the Buffalo Bills running back is in discussions with the team on a contract extension, that doesn't mean he hasn't been eyeing other opportunities. With a former coach now leading a divisional rival and a playoff run high on the wishlist, the 27-year-old will be mulling his options until the free agency period officially begins March 7.

But while Bills fans sit and gnaw their fingernails for the next 10 days, Spiller will be enjoying every minute.

"This is a situation that I’m not going to stress over," he said via buffalobills.com. "I’m going to enjoy it and let it play out. Obviously it’s a critical time and a crucial time in my career during this period, but at the same time I don’t want to stress.

"You’ve got to have patience, don’t get frustrated with the process and be confident in yourself. I’ve never doubted what I can do in the NFL and I never will."
