Patriots stay at No. 32, snag Texas DT Brown

We were about to go to bed after it was reported that the New England Patriots traded out of the No. 32 pick. But then the trade never went through.

The Patriots decided to hold their ground at the very end of the 2015 NFL Draft order and picked up Malcom Brown, a 6-2, 319-pound defensive tackle out of Texas.

Brown is now essentially penciled in to become the departed Vince Wilfork's successor, assuming things go the way New England likely planned when making its decision.

The middle man amassed 64 tackles--14 for loss--and 6.5 sacks in 2014. The year before, he totaled 68 tackles--12 tackles for loss--and five pass breakups.
