NFL changes extra point, 2-point conversion rules

Things won't be quite as easy for NFL kickers on extra points moving forward. And the post-touchdown decision-making for coaches just got slightly more complex, as well.

The NFL announced Tuesday its owners have approved the competition committee's proposal to move the extra point to the 15-yard line.

Two-point conversions, meanwhile, will remain at the 2-yard line, and the opposing defense will have have the opportunity to score two points on a return.
